Background
Mrs. David began her teaching career as a general ed teacher in the Bay Area of Northern California and taught second, third, and fourth grade during the academic year while teaching art at summer school to grades Pre K through 6.
In 2008, she relocated to Washington, D.C. and taught third grade for five years at Janney Elementary School before transferring to Murch Elementary School to become a full time art teacher.
Mrs. David holds a B.A. and MAEd of Liberal Arts Studies in Art History and English with a minor in Visual Art from Saint Mary’s College of California and U.C. Berkeley. She is licensed in both California and Washington, D.C. to teach general and special education, visual art, and art appreciation to grades K through community college. During her time in undergraduate and graduate school, she studied abroad in Rome, Florence, and Milan in Italy, Bourges, Chartres, and Paris in France, as well as London, Windsor, and at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. She has exhibited her work at the Hearst Art Gallery, the San Francisco Gallery of Art, The Art Gallery of Los Angeles, and the Arbinger Gallery of New York.

Mrs. David loves to teach everything art and spend time with kids exploring the world through their eyes! When she’s not planning the week’s art lessons, you might find her painting, reading at Barnes & Noble and enjoying a yummy cup of coffee, or shopping at the Apple Store or Paper Source!
